Terms of Use

Last updated: 11 July 2026 · Convenience translation — the German version prevails.

1. Scope and Provider

These terms govern the use of the Yama web application (yama.coach) by consumers. Provider: Fabio Müller, Gammelsdorfer Straße 6a, 81671 Munich, Germany ("Yama", "we"). Contact: info@yama.coach.

2. Service

Yama is an application for analysing and planning endurance training (including training calendar, load and form analysis, training plans, race tools, optional coach features). The specific scope follows from the application as currently provided; individual features may be marked as beta and may change. Yama does not promise athletic success or specific performance or health outcomes.

3. No Medical Advice — Train at Your Own Risk

Yama does not replace medical examination, advice or treatment and is not a medical device. All analyses, recommendations and plans are general, automatically generated training information. Seek medical advice before starting or substantially increasing training — in particular in case of pre-existing conditions, symptoms, pregnancy or medication. If warning signs occur (e.g. chest pain, shortness of breath, dizziness), stop training immediately and seek medical help. Use of the content and training are at your own risk.

4. Registration and Account

Use requires a user account. Registration details must be accurate. Use is permitted for persons aged 16 or over. Keep credentials confidential; passing the account to third parties is not permitted. Inform us if you suspect unauthorised use.

5. User Obligations

The application may only be used as intended. In particular, the following are prohibited: interfering with the technical infrastructure or circumventing security mechanisms, automated bulk access, posting unlawful content, and using third-party data without authorisation. Coach features may only be used with the consent of the athletes concerned.

6. User Content and Data

Data contributed or imported by users (e.g. activities, plans, comments) remains the users'. Users grant us the simple, non-transferable right to process this data to the extent required to operate the application. Details of the processing of personal data — including health data — are set out in the privacy policy.

7. AI-Powered Features

Certain features generate content using large language models (e.g. training assistant, plan suggestions). Such content is generated automatically and may be inaccurate or incomplete. Changes to the training plan by the assistant only take effect after the user's express confirmation. Section 3 applies accordingly.

8. Availability and Development

We aim for high availability but do not owe uninterrupted accessibility. Maintenance, further development and the modification or discontinuation of individual features remain reserved; we will take legitimate user interests into account.

9. Fees

Where services are offered free of charge, there is no entitlement to their permanent free provision. Paid services are clearly identified before contract conclusion; where a right of withdrawal exists, separate information is provided in the ordering process.

10. Liability

We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, under the German Product Liability Act and within the scope of guarantees given. In the event of slightly negligent breach of essential contractual obligations (obligations whose fulfilment makes proper performance of the contract possible in the first place and on whose observance the user may regularly rely), liability is limited to the foreseeable damage typical of the contract. Otherwise, liability is excluded. This also applies to free use, to the extent permitted by law.

11. Term, Termination, Suspension

Users may end the contract at any time by deleting their account. We may terminate with 14 days' notice in text form; the right to extraordinary termination for good cause remains unaffected. Accounts may be temporarily suspended in the event of violations of these terms.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may amend these terms with effect for the future. We will announce material changes at least 14 days before they take effect, in the application or by email, and obtain renewed consent where required.

13. Final Provisions

German law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods; mandatory consumer-protection provisions of the state of the user's habitual residence remain unaffected. Should individual provisions be invalid, the validity of the remaining provisions remains unaffected. We are not willing or obligated to participate in dispute resolution procedures before a consumer arbitration board.
